External Structure of Leaf:

The external construction of a leafage consists of the below structures:

Petiole:
Petiole is likewise known as leaf stalk
Petiole is the sparse stem that attaches the leafage to the principal stem or branch

Lamina: 
Lamina is likewise known as leaf blade
It is the large wide light-green surface of the leaf
It gives a large surface for calorie-free absorption

Midrib:
Midrib is likewise known as main vein of the leaf
It is the large fundamental thick vein of the leafage that runs through the leafage blade from its base of operations to its apex.

Leaf margin:
Leaf margin is likewise known as leaf edges.
Leaf margins are sparse which bring down the distance of diffusion of gases betwixt the atmosphere together with innermost leafage cells.

Leaf apex: 
Leaf apex is likewise known as leaf tip.
It is the final component subdivision of the leaf

Veins:
Leaf veins branch from the midrib of the leaf
Leaf veins contain vascular tissue of the leafage (xylem together with phloem)
